Comprehensive coverage for multi-modal cargo suitable for importers, exporters, and local producers/distributors. We provide cover for static risks incidental to transit as well as world to world movements.

  • Cover is available for non-containerised, bulk cargoes, break-bulk, RO/RO, specialist cargo and temperature controlled/perishable cargoes

Preferred business:

  • Importers of consumer and manufactured goods –
    General dry cargo, parts, vehicles, foodstuff, beverages (incl. alcohol products), vessels, cosmetics, temperature-controlled goods, IVF products, bulk goods, clothing/apparel, home-wares
  • Imports and exports of perishable cargo
  • Machinery (new and used) and electronic goods
  • Construction materials, plant & machinery relocation

Considered business (case by case):

  • Seafood, frozen meat, project cargo, pharmaceuticals/vaccines


CARRIERS

Cover on a full AD basis, including breakdown and mismanagement of refrigeration machinery and customer consequential loss.  Optional cover for legal defence costs for carriers operating under standard trading terms and conditions.

Preferred business:

  • General freight carriers, line haul, temperature sensitive freight, bulk cargoes
  • Heavy haulage, livestock carriers, mail and parcel contractors

Considered business (case by case):

  • Metropolitan couriers, fresh produce


COMMERCIAL HULL

  • Physical damage to vessels providing in-harbour services, offshore energy support, tourism and passenger charter vessels
  • Plain English policy wording or Institute Clauses including increased value,
  • Ship and boat building risks.

Preferred business:

  • Quality owners and operators working with modern vessels or facilities in a risk managed environment.
  • Australian owned, flagged or managed vessels operating in waters of Australia.

  • Operating north of the 24th parallel
  • Passenger vessels exceeding 30 passengers
